Who participates and when?

Youth (middle and high school) participate in the service on Youth Sundays, the 1st Sunday of each month, serving as readers, acolytes, CAs, ushers, etc. The Youth Program meets in Williamson Hall on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and occasional 5th Sundays of the month September through May, re-joining their families at the distribution of Holy Communion.

Curriculum

Our program uses The Episcopal Church’s Lesson Plans That Work, which follow the Revised Common Lectionary.  Our meetings begin with prayer and snacks, followed by activities related to the unit we are working on.

Parents and Caregivers:  The program is best suited to middle and high school students.  Kids at St. Tim’s typically transition from Godly Play to Youth around the start of middle school, but the program is open to ages 11-17, with flexibility for individual development.

Supporting the program

Each session of our youth program must have two unrelated adults who are Safe Church certified.  Please contact Scott T. or Kelly N. if you would like to volunteer.
